It's common for tracking to show no updates for several days, especially for international shipments. Most cases resolve themselves as the package moves through the shipping process.
Common Reasons for No Updates
Between carriers. International packages often pass through multiple carriers—one in the origin country, one for international transit, and one in the destination country. Tracking can go silent while the package moves between carriers, then resume with the next carrier.
Customs clearance. Packages entering a new country pause at customs for inspection. Tracking often shows no updates during this period.
In transit between sorting facilities. Between major scan events, a package may travel for several days without tracking updates. This is normal.
Peak season congestion. During Black Friday, Chinese New Year, and December holidays, carrier scan systems get overwhelmed and tracking updates can lag.
When Tracking Shows an Unexpected Location
Packages often route through unexpected hubs (a US-bound package may transit through a European or Middle Eastern airport). This is normal—as long as tracking is progressing, the package is on its way.
