Where Can I Place My Design on the Product

Sofia Ramirez Written by Sofia Ramirez

Every product in our catalog comes with predefined print areas that determine where your design can appear. Knowing these positions before you upload artwork helps you plan layouts that look intentional on the final product.

Available Print Positions

  • Front / Back — the primary print areas, best for main graphics, logos, and typography.
  • Left Sleeve / Right Sleeve — smaller zones suited to accent designs, small icons, or brand marks.
  • Neck Label (Inside) — replaces the manufacturer label with your own branding.
  • Hem / Pocket Area — available on select styles for subtle detail work.

Accessories such as mugs, tote bags, phone cases, and hats have their own position sets (wrap-around, single-side, front panel, etc.). The exact options appear on the product page once you open the design editor.

Understanding Print Areas and Safe Zones

Each print position has a fixed maximum print area measured in inches or centimeters. Inside that area you'll see two boundaries in the editor:

  • Print area (outer boundary) — the full canvas your design can occupy.
  • Safe zone (inner boundary) — the area guaranteed to print without cropping.

Keep critical elements — text, faces, logos — inside the safe zone. Backgrounds and decorative edges can extend to the print area boundary. Anything outside will be trimmed automatically.

Choosing the Right Placement for Your Design

  • Large graphics, illustrations, full compositions → Front or Back.
  • Wordmarks, small logos, monograms → Left Chest (upper front) or Sleeve.
  • Repeat patterns, all-over prints → check whether the product supports all-over printing; not every item does.
  • Branding you want customers to see when unboxing → Inside Neck Label.

Previewing Your Final Product

Before publishing to your store, use the mockup preview to see how the design sits on the actual product. The preview reflects real print positioning, so you can catch alignment issues — a logo drifting too high, text sitting off-center — while it's still easy to fix. Adjust the position, scale, or rotation directly in the editor and the preview updates in real time.
