Production Time for Private Label Orders
Private label orders typically take 4–7 business days to produce before they enter shipping.
For comparison, standard POD orders without private labeling take 2–5 business days. The extra time covers:
- Preparing your brand assets for the specific product batch
- Applying the private label (sewing, printing, or attaching, depending on the label type)
- Additional quality check to confirm the label placement is correct
- Packaging the finished product

What Affects the Timeline
A few factors can extend or shorten production time.
Label Type
Different label types take different amounts of time:
- Sewn-in fabric labels (interior neck labels, side seam labels) — the most time-intensive, requires an extra sewing step
- Printed labels (heat-transferred or direct-printed) — faster than sewn labels, minimal added time
- Hang tags (attached via string or plastic loop) — fastest, added at packing stage
If speed is a priority and you don't need a sewn-in label, consider using a printed label or hang tag instead.
Order Volume
Small orders (1–10 units) usually stay within the standard 4–7 business day range. Larger orders (50+ units) may take 1–2 extra days because of batching and additional quality checks.
Product Type
Some products naturally take longer to apply private labels to than others:
- Apparel with interior labels — standard timeline (4–7 business days)
- Rigid products (drinkware, phone cases, home décor) — labels are usually printed or included as an insert, faster
- Large or non-standard items (furniture, wall art) — depending on where the label goes, may take longer
Peak Seasons
During high-demand periods (Black Friday, Christmas, Chinese New Year), private label production can extend by an additional 2–3 business days on top of the standard timeline.

Can I Speed Up Private Label Production
Private label production time is largely determined by the physical process — it can't be significantly compressed. However, a few things help keep it on the shorter end:
- Upload high-quality brand assets in advance. Files below the recommended resolution may pause production while our team requests updated versions.
- Avoid placing orders right before peak seasons. If you know a promotion is coming, plan your inventory or sample orders 1–2 weeks earlier.
- Choose faster label types if timing matters more than the specific label finish.
Faster shipping methods (Fast or Express Shipping) don't speed up production, but they do reduce total delivery time to your customer significantly.
